Talent Show

Saturday, our ward primary had a talent show. It was lots of fun! Lylli played "Love One Another" on the piano and Layla sang "I Lived in Heaven." It was a little scary for them but they did a great job!
This is Seryn "toe walking!" Remind you of anyone, Dean?
Lylli also displayed a couple paintings for the talent show. This is the girls painting! And Seryn is a very good and careful painter! It's fun to watch her. (And the other girls too.)

Trailers, Motorcycles, and Dresses

Life has been a little crazy lately! Not much to show for it yet, but we have stayed plenty busy. I've been working on a trailer for my book and FINALLY got it done, but I haven't been able to load it as a post (or I'm just too lazy to sit and wait that long.) But I did post it on the side bar, so make sure to check it out.
These are just some fun pictures. A couple years ago, my father-in-law bought a small motorcycle to fix up for the grand kids to ride. The rule is that they have to be able to ride a bicycle first. Well, Lylli has been able to ride a bike for 2 years now, but she hasn't been big enough for the motorcycle. But last Saturday, Shane took her out to my parent's house and helped her to ride. I was told that she thought it a little scary so Shane rode with her. But from a mother's perspective, there's nothing wrong with a helping of healthy respect for moving things. (Pictures are courtesy of my dad. I didn't want to be around for this one but I wanted to see the pictures!)

Obviously this isn't a motorcycle picture. This was our Easter picture this year. Shane has a new shirt and tie, I have a new shirt and the girls have new dresses. Everyone at our house loves this part of Easter!
Don't forget to watch my trailer. Let me know what you think and show all your friends! (Shane wants to retire in 5 years. Yeah right!)

Monsters vs. Aliens - the movie, not the kids!

Yesterday, we took the girls to see Monsters vs. Aliens. It was a really cute show! Lylli loved Bob, of course! And she was pretty excited that she's now the only one in her class to have seen this movie! However, when we pulled up to the theater, she was almost in tears because she didn't want to go watch a movie. Silly girl.
On the other hand, this was Layla's first time at the theater and she was excited...until the movie got going. She's always been sensitive to sounds and so we've never taken her before. Well, she cried through the entire thing! She associated the loud sounds with the movie being too scary. Silly girl.
Then, on the third end of the spectrum, it was also Seryn's first time at the theater. She LOVED it!!!! She was dancing to the music and laughing! Part way through, she got bored and wanted to go up and down the stairs in the aisle and got mad when I wouldn't let her. But after she got hold of one of my lip glosses, she was a golden child. Silly girl.
Shane and I have officially decided that it will be a while before we take the entire family to the movies again!
Oh, don't forget to check out my other blog! I'm having a contest for a book giveaway! So check it out and have some fun! But if you don't want to wait that long or leave it to chance, you may order my book on-line at Amazon.com or ask your bookstore to get it! Most of them will, especially the LDS bookstores, Barns & Noble, Waldenbooks, etc. Thanks for your support!
